David Foster
You will all be sad to learn of the sudden death of David Foster.  David was taken ill some 4 weeks ago whilst on a ski-ing holiday with his family.  He was air-lifted back to St Thomas’s Hospital in London where he died on the 14th April 2012 in the morning.

David was a long term Member of the Squadron and he and the Squadron Commander, Michael Ryan, had served together in Sea Vixens (890 Squadron) in the 1960’s.  He will be sadly missed and our thoughts and best wishes go to his family. 

His Memorial Service will be on Wednesday 23rd May at Chelsea Old Church at 14.00 hrs.  No flowers but donations, if desired, to the Fleet Air Arm Squadron.  All enquiries to Chelsea Family Owned Funeral Directors.  Tel: 0207 352 0008

 Admiral Sir Raymond Lygo, KCB
A Memorial Service for Admiral Sir Raymond Lygo, KCB, will be held in Chichester Cathedral, on Thursday 21st June at 1pm.  The service will be followed by a reception at George Bell House next to the Cathedral.  Those wishing to attend are invited to apply for tickets either by email to Ladylygo@gmail.com or by letter to Mrs Linda Mills, Hazelgrove, Church Hill, Slindon, West Sussex, BN18 0RB.  Applications should include full names and addresses and indicate whether the applicants wish to attend the reception.  Tickets will be despatched from 15th May 2012.
